Key People

Graham qualified in 1986 from the University of Liverpool, and acquired a post-graduate qualification in Small Animal Orthopaedics in 1992.

 

He was one of the first veterinary surgeons in the UK to offer Total Hip Replacements for companion animals (1996), and provides a range of specialist orthopaedic treatments including arthroscopy, MRI, spinal surgery, fracture repair and growth deformity corrections at East Midlands Referrals.

 

Graham has pioneered new orthopaedic surgical techniques and strives to provide the most progressive, caring and well-equipped facilities in the region. In his spare time, Graham enjoys motor-sport, restoration of period houses and spending time with his family.

Jonathan joined the Buckley House team after qualifying from Cambridge University in 1998.

 

During his time here he has developed an interest in Exotics and Birds and would like to embark on further study in this area by completing the RCVS certificate in exotics.

 

He has successfully completed the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery, and has an interest in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery including reconstructive and minimally invasive techniques.

 

Jonathan is also a Nurse Training Assessor for Buckley House, involved in the professional development of our student nurses.

 

Included in Jonathan’s many hobbies are gardening, scuba-diving, utilising his skills as a trained chef and playing the bongos!

Jonathan Hadley

Lizzie joined the practice in October 2002, after completing her degree and travelling in the Greek islands and Egypt, where she volunteered in an Animal Rescue Centre.

 

Lizzie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in January 2006 and has since completed the COAPE Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Therapy in 2008

 

She provides behavioural referrals for veterinary practices in the Midlands, and has a special interest in intra-specific canine aggression. Lizzie enjoys all aspects of nursing, specifically, surgical nursing, diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation.

 

Her hobbies include scuba-diving, photography and socialising with friends.

Lizzie Malachowski

Jenna started working at Buckley House in March 2006, qualifying in August 2009.

 

Since qualifying, Jenna has developed an interest in MRI, diagnostic imaging and regularly enjoys duties as a surgical assistant.

 

Jenna would like to continue her professional development by undertaking the Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

 

She has recently purchased her first home and has already taken in a stray cat called Bruce (after Batman!).

 

Jenna’s interests outside of work are kick-boxing, going to motor-sports events and taking in London musicals!

Jenna Cheeseman

Becky started at Buckley House in January 2005 following her previous employment as a veterinary nurse in a specialist clinic for working dogs and racing greyhounds.

 

Becky is greatly involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of racing greyhounds and devotes much of her spare time to the Retired Greyhound Trust.

 

Becky also enjoys competing in charity sporting events and her hobbies include travel, socialising and sampling new gastronomic delights!
